This repeater was installed on June 26, 2020 as a standalone system. In time this repeater will linked into the PVARC repeater network. This repeater id’s as “WD6EBY SP”.
The Santa Paula system is currently a Kenwood TKR-750 repeater unit using a 6 cavity TX-RX duplexer and a telewave 2.5 db collinear antenna.
The system works well in the Santa Paula Valley along hwy-126 through Fillmore and Piru and past the LA County line. There is a little flutter just East of Fillmore otherwise the repeater is providing very good coverage. To the West, as expected coverage into Ventura is poor while Oxnard out to Point Mugu is good. I have received reports of base station coverage in Moorpark and Newburry Park. All in all a great addition to the PVARC network. Give it a try and let me know the coverage in your area.
